From inside the fog
By Jordan Melnick | January 11th, 2011 | 4 CommentsA dense gray fog swallowed Miami this morning, obscuring cars and buildings only a hundred feet away. An eerie beauty came over South Beach, like in the woods of Kurosawa’s “Throne of Blood”. Luckily, I was awake to take a few photos.

I kind of liked the mood. Wish there were more days like this.
The fog comes
on little cat feet.
It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

incidentally, the parking lot shot reminds me of the work i liked at the david castillo gallery at art walk.
Unlike the DCG work, I’ll sell you that photo for a hamburger. Part of the value is in the title: “Whole lot of fog”.
