This week, we kick off the podcast with a discussion of the four Miami Beach buildings that have gone up in flames in the last week in what might turn out to be a case of serial arson. We also commemorate a little-known figure in Miami’s black entertainment history (“You too. Lou.”) and respond to a listener’s question about what it will take for Miami’s music scene to spread beyond the city’s borders.

Make sure to subscribe to our podcast RSS feed, which includes an mp3 download of each episode. If you have any suggestions — a person to interview, an event to forecast, a neighbor who reeks off lighter fluid to report to the authorities — please email us at podcast@beachedmiami.com.

I had no idea about these arson acts going on in south beach, scary stuff. Thanks for responding, hopefully more people will discuss the topic.
