The 2011 Kendall Classic will be held in the vicinity of the Tamiami Airport for cash prizes. This is a USA Cycling sanctioned series that counts for the national ranking system. Either USAC or UCI license required to race. Registration available online or in person on Fridays and Saturdays at Bike Masters in Kendall.

10. Miami Critical Mass, April 29th

Miami Critical Mass returns on the last Friday of the month. This is a group ride and a celebration of bicycles for cyclists of all levels — not a race. Meet at Government Center at 6:30 p.m. and keep an eye on the Miami Bike Scene and the Miami Critical Mass Facebook group for more information. I strongly suggest that anyone planning to take part in this ride takes a look at the route and the guidelines (yes, there are rules) in advance. You can see photos from past rides HERE.

If I remember right, the bike festival this weekend is cancelled on account of low registration. Of course, it seems like they didn’t tell anyone about it until a few days ago, so it’s not surprising.

Nice to see regular racing getting some love.

@ Cam: Only the first half of the Bike Festival is canceled (the Saturday ride.) The Sunday ride is still on. I learned of this after the list had already posted, should be edited shortly.
