Photos from Wynwood Art Fair
By Jordan Melnick | October 22nd, 2011 | 5 CommentsEnvisioned as a live art “happening” cum street fair, the inaugural Wynwood Art Fair is well under way. We stopped by early on Friday, when the crowd was thin and a few booths were still setting up, to see what was going on. One of the first uneveryday sights was Argentinean, Miami-based artist Agustina Woodgate painting hopscotch squares near the northern boundary of the fair. Her intention is to keep painting until she reaches the other end of the fair, several long blocks to the south, or until her back breaks in two. Either way, it will take her all weekend.
Woodgate wasn’t the only artist hard at work. Here are the rest of our photos from Day One of the Wynwood Art Fair, which is open today and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
There are a few contemporary dance troupes performing at the fair.
Weirdness abounds at the Wynwood Art Fair, but …
… kids of all ages are welcome.

in your first sentence – the word “come” as you spelled it – well it could mean something else.
Great pictures! More pictures at http://www.facebook.com/eleazardelgado. I loved Pink Bastard Forum, Esteban Blanco and Alex Yanes! My personal top picks.
@Robbie, that meaning wouldn’t make any sense there. However the word’s primary meaning — “combined with” — makes perfect sense. Thanks for the insight.
love the photos, had such as great time at the Wynwood Art Fair!
