The Tiny House Movement and Sustainable Design
August 8th 2012 7:00pm - 8:00pm at The LAB Miami
Students will be introduced to the history and principles of the tiny house movement, including the economic and environmental reasons for "living small." We will investigate trends in housing worldwide over the past century to put the ideas of the movement in a greater context and explain how the movement can affect sustainability and urban design in the coming half century, as population increases. The instructor will also highlight a Tiny House designed and built by himself and a team of students at Northwestern University.
