The Gutter Film Series presents East Meets West: Black Belt Jones

Miami's Cult-Film and B-Movie film series presents the theme for the month of August, "East Meets West". For our first screening of the month we will be showing the infamous Blaxploitation/Karate hybrid "Black Belt Jones".
The film stars Jim Kelly (of Enter The Dragon fame) and Scatman Crothers (The Shining).It's a film about a karate school that runs into trouble with the mafia. In a city of shady characters and injustice, only one man can save the school from it's demise. That man is Black Belt Jones. As an added bonus, the film features a score by Luchi de Jesus with legendary Motown/Funkadelic guitarist Dennis Coffey.
Come join us for a really fun film-going experience. We will have snacks and funky music starting at 7:30. The film will start at 8:30. After the screening we will meet for drinks and discussion at a nearby watering hole. See you there!
