Re-Gifting Contest for Two Bright Eyes Tix [Contest Closed]

Bright Eyes

The irony is that Conor Oberst's eyes aren't bright. You see, the band's name is sardonic.

Yesterday, our music writer William Alton was the first tiger-blooded Adonis to respond to the following prompt from Mikey Ramirez, lead vinylsmith/shotcaller at Radio-Active Records in Ft. Lauderdale: “Email us your favorite Charlie Sheen movie. Hint: Garbage”. William’s reply — “Men At Work!?!” — won him two free tickets to Bright Eyes at the Fillmore on March 2 (tomorrow night). Of course, William probably should have stayed out of the contest altogether since he lives in Philadelphia and cannot attend the Bright Eyes show here in Miami Beach (whatta jerk). To make amends, he decided to do the right thing and … re-gift the tickets (valued at $84) to some lucky Beached Miami reader.

Did I say lucky? I meant nerdy. Here’s how you win the tix:

1. You need to live close enough to the Fillmore to go to the show (the Alton Rule)
2. You need to be able to pick them up from Radio-Active (1930 East Sunrise Boulevard, Suite B)
3. You need to be the first person to post at least three anagrams of “Radio-Active”, with or w/o the hyphen, in the comments section of this post (make sure to include your real email address in the comment form)

Meet all three requirements (and the corollary requirement of knowing what an anagram is/where a dictionary is), and you’ll be headed to Bright Eyes tomorrow night courtesy of Radio-Active, which gave this Re-Gifting Contest their blessing.

The contest starts right … now!
