The Giant Pink Snails’ Last Stop in Miami

After a roughly two month stay in Miami that included some abusive moments, the giant pink snails end their Magic City sojourn in inglorious fashion: entangled in plastic tape on a patch of asphalt beneath the Metrorail — an ironic fate for these molluskan ambassadors of sustainable living. Far from inspiring Miami Beach to embrace recycling more seriously, the snails got trashed and then kicked to the curb.
